The earlier scheduled APC ward congress across the country was held on 5th March, 2018.
Plateau State was not exempted from the exercise.
But according to a Facebook User TN TIMS, who posted on fb said the APC ward congress in the State failed as most people willing to run where not given the chance to obtain the nomination form.
The issue was to be blamed on the chairman of APC, Plateau State chapter, Mr.Latep Dabang. The said chairman was a accused of hijacking the nomination forms of the party sent to Plateau State.
Party faithfuls followed due process and paid for the nomination fee but where later denied access to obtain the forms.
The State chairman was accused of collecting the nomination form from the National Working Committee and shared to his supporters across the State. Furthermore, those that collected the forms where not having the receipts for payment which is against the election procedures. This is a demonstration of injustice, impunity and selfishness according to our source.
Some LGA’s in the State were said to witness no congress such Langtang, Mikang, Pankshin, Kanam, Bokkos, Kanke, Mangu, BarkinLadi and Riyom.
Stakeholders within APC in Plateau State have made a call for rescheduling of the ward congress to give all fairness and equity.
